The Butterfly Effect
Unfolding the intricacy of butterfly wings through weaving
A collection of handwoven swatches inspired by the minute details of butterfly wings. I studied the patterns on the wings and developed samples by creating my own denting patterns for weaving.

Yarns of various thickness were plied together to create gradation of colours and textures. The colours selected were vibrant with a off white base to enhance the patterns.
A hypothetical client, 'The Calma House' - Spain was chosen for this project. The materials and techniques were chosen after studying the brand.
